As the technical know-how carrier of our ICT infrastructure, you ensure stability, security, and innovation at SZU. You are responsible for the operation and further development of the network, datacenter, and workplace, contribute your expertise in architecture, security, and automation, and ensure that our systems are highly available and resilient. With your hands-on mentality and leadership skills as well as passion, you drive the digital transformation of SZU forward and further develop the ICT team professionally. Are these your elements? Then you are right with us!, * Operation & Architecture: You continuously plan, operate, and develop our network, server, and workplace environments. In doing so, you ensure reliable monitoring (e.g., PRTG), reporting, backup/recovery (Veeam), as well as efficient lifecycle management.
- Security & Compliance: You are responsible for patch and vulnerability management, implement governance and compliance policies, and define technical standards.
- Cloud & Workplace: You ensure the operation and further development of our hybrid cloud solutions (Azure, Entra ID, AVD) and manage end devices via Microsoft Intune, including software packaging.
- Processes & Quality: You lead problem analyses, approve changes, ensure SLA management, and coordinate external partners.
- Project Management: You plan and execute projects - including auditable documentation (runbooks, handover protocols).
Requirements
- 10+ years as a System/Network Engineer, with 5+ in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge in routing, switching, and VMware technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and automation scripting., * You have at least 10 years of experience as a system/network engineer, of which at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
- You have solid know-how in routing/switching, VLAN/VRF, WLAN, firewall/VPN as well as VMware and Windows Server.
- You are familiar with Microsoft 365, Intune, ITIL processes, and technical documentation.
- You communicate clearly and convincingly in German (at least level C1).
- You have experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience in the railway or industrial environment as well as certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft/Azure, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous.
