Job description
Reporting to the Country Manager for Germany, you will contribute to technical engineering support, economic analysis, and client-facing activities. This hybrid role combines remote work (2-3 days per week) and on-site presence (2-3 days per week), including site visits within Germany, giving strong exposure to practical energy storage projects., 1. Technical Support & Project Assistance
- Support the technical design of battery energy storage projects, including system sizing and optimisation.
- Contribute to grid connection studies and technical assessments.
- Assist clients during early project phases: feasibility studies, technology evaluation, and documentation.
- Participate in project deployment phases, including construction site visits in Germany.
- Techno-Economic & Market Analysis
- Support the evaluation of the financial performance of storage projects.
- Develop and use standard financial models (CAPEX, OPEX, revenue projections, typical battery configurations).
- Analyse regulatory frameworks and market mechanisms impacting storage value in different European countries.
- Perform technical and economic modelling to assess costs, potential revenues, and profitability factors.
- Client Interaction & Reporting
- Participate in meetings with clients to present and discuss study results (Q&A sessions).
- Contribute to reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and industry events when required.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent (Engineering school or university) in energy engineering, electrical engineering, power systems, or related fields.
Experience
- First professional experience or internship in the energy sector, energy storage, power systems, consulting, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills
- Solid fundamentals in electrical engineering (electricity basics, power electronics, electrical grids).
- Interest in or initial exposure to energy markets, electricity market mechanisms, or energy consulting.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel for analysis and modelling.
Languages
- Fluent in German and English
