Job description

  • Own and evolve BARFER'S Data & Analytics strategy across Marketing, Commercial, and Operations

  • Lead, mentor, and develop up to 2 Analytics Engineers / Data Analysts Act as the main sparring partner for Marketing, Management, and other business teams

  • Ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines and models in our modern stack (Airbyte, dbt, BigQuery)

  • Oversee tracking and attribution setups (GTM, GA4, Google Ads, Meta, Shopify, Klaviyo)

  • Translate business goals into KPIs, metrics, and actionable insights

  • Drive advanced analytics topics such as attribution modeling, cohort & retention analysis, experimentation, and forecasting

  • Define and uphold data quality standards, governance, and best practices

  • Build and review dashboards and reporting for operational teams and leadership (Metabase, BigQuery, GA4, Looker Studio)

  • Make data accessible and understandable - turning complexity into clarity

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Analytics Engineering
  • Proven experience leading projects and mentoring or managing team members
  • Strong SQL skills; deep experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
  • Solid understanding of marketing & growth analytics (GA4, GTM, paid channels, attribution)
  • Experience working with Shopify-based D2C data is a big plus
  • Comfortable working close to stakeholders and translating business questions into data solutions
  • Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach
  • Bonus: Python experience and interest in advanced analytics or data science
  • German language skills at least B1
