Job description
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will drive the evolution of a dual-purpose platform that transforms complex environmental and agricultural data into actionable insights. You'll shape the frontend architecture and design intuitive, interactive dashboards that empower users to manage livestock and analyze geospatial data effectively. Working closely with a collaborative Scrum team, you'll influence product decisions, optimize performance, and contribute to meaningful real-world impact, while advancing your expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern mapping technologies., Feature Evolution: Lead the frontend development for both the Invasive Species Analysis module and the Livestock Management SaaS, ensuring a seamless user experience across different workflows;
- Geospatial Visualization: Implement and optimize complex mapping features using Mapbox and Leaflet, enabling users to interact with heat maps and GPS-tagged data;
- Modernization & Support: Maintain the existing React 17 codebase while identifying opportunities for performance optimization and architectural improvements;
- Collaborative Design: Work closely with the BE Engineers and the Senior PM to define API contracts and translate business requirements into technical specifications;
- Quality & Mentorship: Uphold high code quality through rigorous peer reviews and collaborate with the AQA to ensure robust test coverage within the Scrum framework.
Requirements

- Hands-on experience with React 17;
- Experience working with UI and frontend libraries including Bootstrap, Material-UI, and MUI;
- Experience with geospatial technologies such as Mapbox, Leaflet, and GeoJSON;
- Experience integrating APIs using JS fetch API and Axios;
- Experience working in a Scrum development environment;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
