  • Lead the end-to-end operation of the Data Fabric platform, ensuring secure, scalable, reliable, and observable hybrid (SaaS + Azure) services.
  • Drive platform innovation and continuous improvement, including automation, GenAI-assisted data product delivery, and increased platform maturity.
  • Oversee data and platform engineering standards, including connectors, integration patterns, and modern high-code/low-code/AI workbenches.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle for the Data Fabric, from discovery and design through launch, adoption, optimisation, and retirement.
  • Enable trusted, governed, and discoverable data products through strong governance, security, modelling, and operational practices.
  • Establish and test business continuity and resilience plans to protect critical data services and platform availability.
  • Lead business process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a senior stakeholder partner, influencing across technology, business, and regulatory groups to maximise platform adoption and value.
  • Provide line management leadership, building high-performing teams, supporting resourcing, and fostering strong employee engagement and ways of working

  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, dbt, SQL, Trino/Presto, and data modelling for analytics.
  • Delivery of large-scale data catalogue, metadata, lineage and data quality initiatives aligned to best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and regulators and manage conflicting stakeholder needs.
  • Experience delivering platforms with strong security posture (OPA/ABAC, Entra ID) and clear separation of internal and external data zones.
  • Background in platform or product roles that combine engineering excellence with product value thinking.
