Software Developer

Do you have experience in Visual Basic?, We are looking for a .NET developer with strong SQL skills to join the team.

The role will involve:

• Developing windows & web applications in .NET
• Working with (and contributing to) our in-house software architecture and code generation tools
• Building SQL Server databases and complex stored procedures
• Being a committed and enthusiastic member of a small project team, open to both learning new skills and sharing your skills with others
• Building up an understanding and appreciation of the logic within our business applications and how this is embodied in our code base, and being able to transfer this understanding between specific client implementations

You MUST have the following skills:

• Excellent .NET development skills - experience could be in VB or C#
• Strong SQL Server or SQL Azure development experience with excellent T-SQL skills
• Commitment to the highest quality, clean, robust coding
• Ability to translate functional user requirements into technical requirements/code

The following skills and experience would be desirable:

• Microsoft Azure platform
• LINQ, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Telerik controls & reporting

Our office is in Stirling. We expect this role to be office-based initially, with the likelihood of mixed office/home working as you become more familiar with the role.

Salary will be dependent on experience, we are open to applications both from recent graduates and experienced candidates. We are anticipating a full-time role, but are open to flexibility for the right candidate.
