- Play a major role in designing and building our data foundation from scratch in close collaboration with AI Engineers and key stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from our SaaS application (MySQL), third-party APIs and internal tools into the Cloud Data Warehouse you will set up.
- Introduce and maintain analytical data models and a central data layer to enable reporting and advanced analyses across TimeTac.
- Ensure data quality, consistency and availability through monitoring, validation and documentation.
- Work closely with all teams (software development, marketing, finance, customer success, ...) to understand data needs and translate them into robust, data solutions.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by providing clean, well-structured datasets and supporting the creation of dashboards and reports.
- In this role, you report directly to our CTO/CPO.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering. Experience with data warehouses and modern tools for orchestration, transformation & testing is a major plus. Ideally, you already implemented a data warehouse in a previous project.
- University degree in Computer or Data Science, Software Development or similar.
- Strong software development skills, preferably in Python, SQL, Docker and Git.
- Very good knowledge of relational databases, in particular MySQL (schema design, queries, performance optimization).
- Experience with common cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud/GCP, Azure) and their data services.
- Experience with MS Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, as well as hands-on exposure to AI/ML in a data context is a nice-to-have.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate data topics into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, paired with curiosity, a strong willingness to learn and an eagerness to find innovative solutions.
- Very good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

According to the applicable IT collective agreement, this position offers a minimum gross annual salary of €53,802 (ST1, Regelstufe) for a full-time role (38.5 hours/week), based on at least three years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
Individual qualifications and experience relevant to the open position will be considered for the salary and there is a clear willingness to overpay.
