Job description

Roche Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT) is at the forefront of a medical revolution. We are delivering a fast-evolving portfolio of Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) products-curative treatments that bring unprecedented hope to patients. However, these "living products" present unique challenges in a rapidly shifting regulatory and operational landscape. As the Strategic Analytics & Business Insights Lead, you will be a vital member of the CGT supply chain team. Your mission is to translate complex business challenges into robust, transparent, and objective analyses that establish the very models our CGT supply chain operates on. This is a high-visibility role where your data-driven insights will directly shape strategic decisions at the highest levels of Roche. The Opportunity

  • You bridge the gap between complex data and executive decision-making to enable the successful commercialization of our portfolio.
  • You establish and own CGT supply chain models, including COGS modeling, Network Capacity, and long-range demand and supply forecasting.
  • You act as the process owner for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and facilitate preparation on demand, supply, and financial commitments.
  • You lead high-level meetings with senior stakeholders across PT, Pharma International, GPS, and Group Finance.
  • You drive the Annual Network Strategy cycle, including COGS reduction roadmaps, Capex perspectives, and the evolution of Sourcing Principles.
  • You perform deep-dive research to solve complex business questions, articulating key drivers and interdependencies to influence cross-functional strategy.
  • You manage the "Allocations Process" when required and align with GPS on short-term outlooks for the commercial portfolio.
  • You lead complex, matrixed projects such as product launch plans and digital initiatives to ensure a cohesive and successful commercial rollout.
  • You use your analytical expertise to provide transparency and objectivity in a rapidly shifting regulatory and operational landscape.

Who you are

You are an analytical powerhouse who thrives in "start-up" environments characterized by ambiguity and rapid change. You do not just build models; you tell a story with data that compels action. You role-model Roche's leadership principles (VACC/VITAL) and you are passionate about creating value for patients through strategic planning. You have outstanding framing and presentation skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated analysis to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • M.Sc., MBA, or PhD in a relevant quantitative or business field.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical roles within the pharmaceutical industry, where Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) experience is a significant plus. Exceptionally relevant expertise is highly valued and may outweigh total years of experience.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary, matrixed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Advanced skills in systems thinking and creating complex scenarios/models to solve business-critical problems.
  • Willingness for global travel between 20% and 30%.
  • Strong strategic mindset to design the future of supply chain for advanced therapies.

Join a team that operates with the agility of a start-up but the reach of a global leader. If you are ready to design the future of the supply chain for the most advanced therapies in medicine today, we look forward to receiving your application!
