Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing team in Basingstoke What you'll be doing

Proactively hunt for threats and vulnerabilities within the organisation's networks and systems.

Utilise tools like SIEM, IDS, and KQL/similar query languages for effective threat detection and analysis.

Knowledge of using API's to retrieve and combine data sets from our systems for purposes of tracking incidents and reporting

Conduct detailed phishing analysis and incident response to mitigate potential security breaches.

Develop and maintain security reports that provide insights and status updates on organisational security posture.

Manage security tooling including email and web proxy services to ensure secure network operations.

Implement and oversee end-point detection and response tools to prevent, detect, and respond to malware and other cyber threats.

Provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity measures and best practices to IT and other relevant teams.

Support the development and enforcement of company-wide cybersecurity policies and protocols.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure cybersecurity practices are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Influence cybersecurity strategy by providing informed recommendations based on current threat landscapes and trends.

Discover and highlight potential issues which may impact our security posture.

Respond to alerts from our security tooling.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SIEM?, * Proficiency in cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, IDS, end-point detection and response, and KQL.

Understanding of network protocols like DNS, DHCP, and IP.

Experience with cybersecurity incident handling, threat hunting, and phishing analysis.

No specific professional memberships required, but accreditations in cybersecurity (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) welcome.
