Job description

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking technology leader to lead the delivery and governance of a technology-centric transformation roadmap and the effective management of the Housing IT team. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Housing Technology, ensuring core housing systems are secure, resilient, and continuously improved to support excellent service delivery and wider council priorities., * Jointly lead and deliver a robust, well-governed roadmap of technology-enabled change for Housing services.

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Housing Technology functions and teams.
  • Ensure core housing systems and digital platforms are reliable, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
  • Develop and implement innovative digital solutions that improve customer experience, service efficiency, and value for money.
  • Shape and deliver a forward-looking Housing Technology roadmap aligned to corporate and service transformation priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technology and system strategies.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Housing IT team, embedding a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key member of the Housing IT leadership team, contributing to wider corporate digital and transformation agendas.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Leadership?, * Proven experience in a senior technology or digital leadership role within a complex organisation (public sector desirable).

  • Strong track record of delivering technology-led change and managing large-scale systems or digital programmes.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • In-depth understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and system assurance.
  • Ability to translate business and service needs into clear, deliverable technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and value for money.
