Job description
Enterprise Cloud Architect is required to shape and evolve cloud and platform strategy across a large programme. This role will help ensure a reliable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud setup, making sure modern, cloud-native services are built and run consistently.
You will be responsible for:
- Defining a strategic vision and conceptual architecture for the organisation's Azure cloud platforms.
- Leading and supporting Azure Landing Zone assessments for key platforms, identifying maturity gaps and improvement initiatives.
- Providing enterprise cloud architecture input to ongoing technology transformation initiatives across the programme.
- Supporting cloud architecture assurance by defining architecture problems, producing concise summaries, and contributing to design decisions.
- Communicating architectural decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Representing architecture in working groups, securing buy-in and approvals from senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Enterprise or Lead Cloud Architect in large, complex organisations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure Landing Zones and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience defining cloud platform strategy, conceptual architectures, and target operating models.
- Exposure to various aspects of cloud architecture, including cloud resilience, security, cost/FinOps, performance, and more.
- Demonstrated ability to assess platform maturity and translate findings into actionable improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, governance forums, and cross-functional teams, with the ability to clearly communicate architectural vision and trade-offs.
