Job description
As Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design the systems that keep our applications running smoothly - and communicating effectively with the team is a big part of it.
Your tasks will involve a combination of the following:
- Managing our multi-cloud setup across GCP, AWS, and European providers - including managed Kubernetes services.
- Exploring and evaluating new tools and services to improve reliability and developer experience.
- Bringing fresh perspectives on tooling, automation, and architecture to the team.
- Working on greenfield projects in the healthcare sector.
- Contributing to open source projects, or collaborating with the team building fun projects during our Open Fridays (usually on a Wednesday) :)
Requirements
Our primary requirement is a genuine passion for building reliable, well-automated systems with clean code, and an eagerness to collaborate with the team.
Coupled with significant experience building cloud setups using Terraform and Kubernetes (or a similar stack), you're the kind of professional we're excited to invite for a coffee chat!
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or similar)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Scripting skills for automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Understanding of monitoring and observability practices
We embrace AI tools to improve our workflows - and we're looking for someone who shares that mindset.
As someone who's been around the block, you should be a great communicator who finds pragmatic solutions for complex problems - and accepts that there are always multiple ways to achieve a goal. No one should be afraid of failures; as a team, we only try not to repeat them.
Fluency in English is crucial for our international team. And if you can sprinkle in some German, that's a delightful bonus we appreciate.
Benefits & conditions
- A competitive salary
- Flexible working hours and hybrid work (mainly from home, with one office day per week in Berlin or Cologne)
- Learning budget for conferences, courses, and books
- Choose the gear you like
- Relocation support if you're moving to Berlin or Cologne
- Minimal meetings - we take planning seriously and spend our time coding, not in meetings
Cloud infrastructure doesn't build itself, so we make sure to keep the office stocked with coffee, fruits, Club Mate & snacks. We hold regular team events - dinners, game nights, chess evenings, and board games at the office, plus seasonal whole-company events like go-kart racing and escape rooms.
