C++ Software Engineer - East Knighton

• Apply a software engineering approach to undertake all tasks within a software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify requirements and develop solutions
• Utilize software engineering tools and processes to ensure quality and efficiency in development
• Conduct critical reviews of results and methods to ensure compliance with standards
• Engage in continuous learning and development within defence and military contexts
• Contribute to system design using UML and Enterprise Architect as required
• Participate in problem-solving discussions and provide insights based on experience

• SC Clearance required - all candidates must hold or be eligible to gain SC Clearance before starting the role
• Understanding of military systems, particularly maritime systems
• Experience of Software Engineering Lifecycle processes and tools
• Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principles
• Ability to solve complex problems and critically review results and methods to ensure quality
• Awareness of ISO 9001 and TickITplus standards
• Understanding of software configuration management
• Ability to communicate with expert and non-expert stakeholders
• Proven ability in one or more of the following industry areas: Defence, Maritime, Rail
• Primary software/system skills: C++ / Visual Studio, UML / Enterprise Architect for system design
