Job description
- Understand and analyze new requirements from teams and propose design options
- Collaborate closely with other architects to leverage tribal knowledge
- Support delivery teams in resolving problems that arise during implementation
- Assist in the analysis of incidents and provide architect support
- Work on long-term strategies and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Management Team

This contract role for a Technical Architect is based in Croydon with a hybrid working model. We offer competitive rates and require active SC Clearance. Our architects play a crucial role in the development and delivery process, ensuring effective solutions that meet the diverse needs of our teams.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of core AWS services; VPCs, subnets, EC2, lambda, s3, route 53, VPC endpoints
- Good understanding of networking - TCP/IP, DNS, routing, proxy patterns
- Good understanding of containers and Kubernetes (broad architecture knowledge preferred)
- Design documentation skills
- Influencing, negotiating & pragmatism - getting designs through assurance processes
- Problem solving and options analysis
- Evidence based decision making
- Excellent communication skills, from junior engineer input to senior leader explanations
- (Optional) Expertise in Elasticsearch Stack, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS EKS and KOPS, Hashicorp Consul/Vault, VPNs, Atlassian tooling, AWS Workspaces, LDAP, Redhat SSO/OIDC, firewall technologies, proxy servers, and DevOps tools (Terraform, Concourse, Sonarqube, Transit Gateway)
