This is a senior, hands-on design role with real influence across projects, customers and internal stakeholders.Whats the role all about?As the Senior Design Engineer, youll lead individual design projects from concept through to production, working closely with Sales, Applications and Manufacturing. Youll be responsible for ensuring designs are technically robust, compliant, delivered on time and within budget.Youll also act as Account Engineer for a key established customer, managing, design engineering roleStrong understanding of the full design lifecycle from concept, to productionCompetence in CAD and 3D solid modellingGood working knowledge of fluid mechanics theory and practiceExperience producing technical documentation and customer sign-off packsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projectsDesirable experience (not essential)AutoCAD Inventor / Autodesk Vault / MathCADDFMEA / PFMEAPressure vessel design (PD5500, ASME, PED)FEA / CFDInjection moulding experienceSupplying into regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear)Fabrication and welding environmentsProject management exposureWho you areYoure methodical, detail-driven and comfortable taking ownership.
