Job description
Senior Systems Engineer - Lead Engineer (Coventry or Warrington, Hybrid) We're hiring two experienced Senior Systems Engineers to join our UK Process Automation Delivery team, supporting industrial automation projects across sectors like Water, Renewables, Oil & Gas and Critical Infrastructure. Based from either Coventry or Warrington, you'll work on project delivery from requirements gathering through to commissioning. You'll lead technical delivery on automation and SCADA projects (especially using Geo SCADA), support structured testing, site visits, and mentor junior engineers. You'll also interact closely with customers, ensuring expectations are met across functionality, documentation, and timelines. We work in a hybrid model, with 2 to 3 days/week in the office and occasional travel to UK customer sites. Travel is minimal - occasional site visits and customer meetings only. This is a hands-on role, ideal for engineers with strong project lifecycle knowledge, SCADA or telemetry experience, and the confidence to lead technical delivery without supervision. We welcome applicants from various SCADA backgrounds - Geo SCADA is a bonus, not a must. If you enjoy solving complex automation challenges, mentoring others, and being part of a team that truly owns its projects from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.

- Proven experience of SCADA, telemetry, computer networking and software engineering. Ideally you should have experience with Geo SCADA (formerly SCX6, ClearSCADA) and/or other SCADA solutions.

- Ability to work in a project environment, either leading or working under the direction of a lead engineer, to meet the defined cost, quality, and time goals as governed by the Project Manager.
- Experienced in digital communications.
- Experience of Cloud technologies.
