• The Software Engineering Platforms department is dedicated to the customer's journey in Swissquote. We define, analyze, and bring to life the future of client-facing solutions offered by Swissquote. We also maintain those applications to always ensure the best client experience throughout their journey.
• By collaborating closely with the product strategy department, we act as the bridge between the company's growth strategy and the corresponding solutions in place, serving as core actors in giving concrete life to the defined vision.

• Team Mission:
• The Trading Conception team is dedicated to designing, developing, and enhancing robust trading platforms for both web and mobile, catering to a diverse set of users and investment profiles. This team focuses on delivering seamless trading solutions that span multiple asset classes, including Forex, securities, and cryptocurrencies, ensuring a secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience.
• As part of this dynamic team, you'll work closely with three product owners and an offshore business analyst. Together, you will transform strategic visions into practical, impactful features that drive the evolution of our trading platforms in collaboration with software engineering teams. Your work will empower clients and set new standards in trading experiences across the industry.
• Job Description:
• We are looking for our new Design Engineer. After a training period on our different retail trading platforms (Securities & Forex), you will be responsible for conceptualizing and defining design solutions that align with business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints.
• You will work closely with product strategy designers to translate visual and interaction concepts into production-ready components, with the Product Owner to fully meet stakeholders' needs, and with developers to guarantee design integrity and technical feasibility across all edge cases. You will bridge the gap between product design and development by ensuring that designs are implementable, performant, and consistent.
• Conceptualize and design product solutions for the benefit of the end user.
• Partner with Developers to ensure high-fidelity implementation of user interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX/Product Designers to validate design feasibility early in the process.
• Identify and resolve corner cases and edge scenarios that emerge during design-to-code handoff.
• Contribute to and maintain the design system.
• Build interactive prototypes that demonstrate realistic behaviour and performance.
• Advocate for design consistency, accessibility, and maintainable front-end architecture.
• Provide feedback on both design and implementation to align experience and technical constraints.
• Actively contribute to team life by helping with support tasks and being a designer ambassador to promote various design activities.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in designing digital products for complex web and mobile applications, especially with in-house teams. Experience with financial/trading products is a plus.

• Strong proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD).

• Strong knowledge in building and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and responsive design principles.

• Solid understanding of UI principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser behavior.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across product owners, design, and engineering teams.

• Comfort discussing performance trade-offs or technical constraints with engineers.

• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Vue) is a plus.

• An interest in AI and readiness to adapt your work with new tools (Figma Make, etc.) is a plus.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
