Job description

· Maintain the existing Python codebase; including APIs (FastAPI), API clients, ML solutions and data analysis pipelines.

· Create or modify existing SQL queries to retrieve, summarise and investigate data.

· Clean, transform and analyse large-scale datasets from smart meters, grid operators and market exchanges.

· Communicate technical findings to internal and external stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Do you have experience in Tableau?, Do you have a Master's degree?, We have an immediate vacancy for a Junior Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science team and contribute to the data-driven solutions that drive strategic decisions in the energy sector. We're seeking a technically skilled MSc graduate in Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Physics. Engineering, Computer Science or any related quantitative field to support our work in energy supply/demand modelling, market simulation and data solutions., · MSc graduate in Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Physics. Engineering, Computer Science or any related quantitative field

· Strong profiency in Python, good understanding of pandas.

· Desirable: Knowledge of SQL, FastAPI or Django, knowledge of OOP principles.

· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, tableau, Power BI) and version control (Git).

· Desirable: Understanding of networking principles, computational hardware, cloud computing services (AWS), private clouds, containerised architectures.

Soft Skills:

· Analytical thinking, ability to approach problems methodically and critically.

· Communication skills, capable of explaining complex results to non-technical audiences.

· Team collaboration, willing to work in cross-functional teams and contributes positively.

· Time management, ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

· Adaptability, comfortable with learning new tools and adjusting to evolving project needs.

· Attention to detail, ensure accuracy and reliability in data analysis and reporting.
