Job description

We are excited to be working with a growing, consumer-focused business in the heart of Stoke on Trent. They are seeking a motivated and organised Consumer E-Commerce Lead to take ownership of the online customer journey across its e-commerce websites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving how customers move through a website - from first visit to purchase and beyond. You'll be hands-on with mapping, reviewing, and improving the customer journey, while ensuring websites are well structured, search-friendly, and easy to use. Main duties will include…

  • Own and oversee the end-to-end online customer journey across e-commerce websites
  • Map out the customer journey, identifying drop-off points and opportunities for improvement
  • Improve navigation, content, page layout, and checkout experience to increase conversion
  • Ensure website content and structure follow SEO best practices to improve search visibility
  • Make basic HTML updates where needed (page structure, headings, links, metadata)
  • Work with developers or external partners on more complex website improvements
  • Manage product listings, content updates, and promotional activity
  • Support product launches and digital marketing campaigns
  • Track website performance and customer behaviour, using insights to recommend improvements
  • Help coordinate tasks across the marketing team to keep projects on track

Requirements

Do you have experience in SEO?, The successful candidate will have proven experience within e-commerce, digital marketing, or website optimisation. A clear understanding of improving the customer journey and the ability to improve SEO performance and on-page optimisation. You will be comfortable making simple HTML edits and updates, be familiarity with Shopify and website analytics tools and demonstrate a well organised approach to tasks. The ability to use Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva is also desirable., We are looking for a self-motivated candidate, who thinks from a customer's point of view, enjoys improving how websites perform, and wants to grow their skills across e-commerce, SEO, and website optimisation.
