Java Software Engineer

• Design and develop new and evolving software tools and architectures for Air Defence Systems
• Engage in collaborative development efforts with team members

• A strong background in software engineering and its realisation with system-wide impact
• Experience of working in Java
• Collaborative, open approach to development with the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum during development
• Experience across the entire software development process from requirements engagement to automated target integration and proving, supported by effective documentation
• Experience with new tools, techniques, and approaches to evolve processes for improved efficiency and sustainability
• Experience in other languages such as Ada
• Knowledge of DDS middleware and Real Time Operating Systems
• Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508
