Security Cleared Network Engineer

• Configure routers and switches according to design documents
• Onboard devices onto the network management platform
• Rack and stack relevant devices in Data Centres
• Attend internal meetings and collaborate with project managers to execute project implementation plans
• Develop strong customer relationships while functioning effectively in a team environment
• Provide standby support for incident management, traveling to locations when necessary

• 20-40% travel is required
• Experience in configuring routers and switches in line with design documents (IP data perspective)
• Strong knowledge of Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies
• Experience in switching and IP addressing best practices
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches (e.g., 3850s, Nexus 9k, ISRs, ASRs)
• Experience in configuring networks in a managed data-networking environment
• Capable of providing out-of-hours standby support (min. 1 in 6 ROTA basis), We are looking for a Specialist Engineer for a Network Engineer role, with the flexibility to work remotely and occasionally travel to locations in the West Midlands and southern regions like Reading and Bath. This contract position offers a competitive rate of £300 per day (Inside IR35).
