GCP Engineer

• Designing and delivering secure, compliant Google Cloud platforms and services
• Building and operating cloud infrastructure, networking, and API platforms using infrastructure as code
• Creating reusable cloud products and patterns that enable rapid, self-service adoption
• Embedding DevOps practices, automation, and operational resilience into platform capabilities
• Supporting delivery teams across the bank with cloud adoption and platform integration
• Working closely with security, risk, and architecture teams to meet regulatory requirements
• Contributing to technical standards, patterns, and engineering best practices

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments
• Proven delivery experience across at least one of platform architecture, infrastructure and DevOps, cloud networking, or API gateway platforms
• Infrastructure as code expertise, Terraform preferred
• Experience operating in regulated industries, with financial services strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of cloud security, resilience, and operational controls
• Ability to work effectively within multi-vendor consultancy and client teams
• Desirable experience in banking or financial services programme
• Familiarity with Apigee, Kubernetes, or platform engineering
• Experience modernising legacy infrastructure or integration platforms
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
