Job description

  • In this role, you will manage and support our hybrid infrastructure across on-premise and Azure environments. You will maintain servers, storage (SAN/NAS), firewalls, and networking infrastructure. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing patching, backups, disaster recovery plans, and system documentation. You will respond to incidents quickly and methodically to reduce technical risk and contribute to infrastructure upgrades and new deployments across sites. Collaboration within Agile-style workflows, including sprint planning and retrospectives, will be a key part of your daily activities.

Based primarily at our Milton Keynes HQ, this delivery-focused role emphasizes ownership, consistency, and a collaborative attitude alongside technical skills. You will be part of a lean, supportive infrastructure team responsible for the day-to-day stability, security, and resilience of our hybrid IT estate, focusing on well-documented, repeatable processes, strong operational support, and proactive risk management.

Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates with a solid background in Microsoft infrastructure, Azure, and virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V). You should be comfortable troubleshooting issues across networking, storage, and firewalls, and have a familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, documentation-focused, and comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment. A willingness to be on-site full-time in Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to Birmingham, is essential.
