Job description
As a Configuration Engineer working on the Sizewell C project, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of plant configuration records and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the project. You will support the coordination of changes, manage configuration registers, and act as a key point of contact for your allocated systems.
You will be responsible for ensuring that configuration data and processes remain accurate and reliable through design and construction. Your future team will rely on your ability to maintain compliance, resolve technical queries, and support the smooth progression of engineering and construction activities.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing configuration management across design changes, open-points, interfaces between different internal and external stakeholders ensuring a consistent and optimised design for the Project.
- Ensuring the resolution of various cross-functional technical issues and queries by coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Participates where necessary in coordination meetings organised by the various parties involved in the project (modification committee, project decision meeting, etc.)
- Provide accurate data and present updates to project managers and engineering leads on progress, including KPI production, data analysis to support management and decision making.
- Support configuration management standards across engineering and construction activities.
- Actively support the processing, review of redlines, and updates to technical design documents and drawings.
- Coordinate reviews of design documents and drawings with engineering teams.
- Assist with audits and assurance checks in your area of responsibility.
- Champion best practice in configuration processes to support project success.
- Maintain and update Plant Configuration Registers for your designated area.
- Manage the processing of design evolution requests and notices.
- Monitor and track interfaces between work packages.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Word?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering
- Several years of experience in one or several engineering disciplines which can include nuclear safety, electrical, mechanical, systems, civil, layout.
- Experience in EPR projects and Nuclear New Build
- Experience with configuration, design, or technical documentation processes
- Strong attention to detail when handling technical data and drawings
- Competent user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Confident communicator with engineering and construction teams
️ Desired Skills
- Experience in a regulated or highly technical environment
- Knowledge of large industrial projects (energy, oil & gas, steel, manufacturing)
- Familiarity with design change or construction change management processes
- Awareness of quality management or technical audit practices
