Capgemini Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) UK has the largest Projects & Consulting (P&C) practice in CIS globally - covering all the CIS portfolio. We work on a range of exciting projects for many different clients across all sectors. The role of the Network Engineer operates within the Edge capability, focusing on building, migrating, and testing modern network services and solutions.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

- Undertaking a range of network equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
- Performing infrastructure surveys, for both wired and wireless.
- Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers etc.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analyse results.
- Compliance with a stringent change management process, where levels of accuracy of proposed implementation activities will be subject to the fullest review and delivery must follow the agreed plan.

Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, A good working knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/ Public Cloud environments is essential. Practical and demonstrable experience of implementing Cisco ACI would be beneficial.
- Significant experience of configuring network systems, switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of networks including network security, virtual private networking (VPN) converged networks and broadband technologies.
- Will have the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures for enterprise organisations.
- Will typically be qualified to Cisco CCNA level or vendor equivalent accreditations
- Experience of working in a secure, accredited environment with a strong governance model
- Experience of automation/Orchestration: Network stack integration, Terraform, Ansible, Python, JSON, APIs., To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
