A well-established Newton Abbot-based business trading for nearly 30 years across manufacturing, motorhome & caravan products, and contract catering supplies.
We're evolving beyond simple transactional websites into immersive, interactive selling environments, designed to support significant international growth across multiple brands.
The Role
This is a pivotal in-house role in the next phase of our eCommerce growth. If you are seeking hybrid or remote working this position is not for you.
We operate large, complex product catalogues ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 SKUs, and this role requires demonstrable, hands-on WooCommerce experience
You'll build, maintain, and evolve our multi-brand eCommerce platform, working across both front end and back-end as required.
Working closely with sales and e-commerce operations, you'll deliver a WooCommerce- and ERP-driven stack focused on:
- Scalable growth and operational accuracy
- Enhanced customer journeys to drive average order value
- Pre-orders and complex fulfilment workflows
- Automated, ticketed shipping, warranty, and returns management
- Enterprise-grade performance, speed, and reliability
- Performance-first, conversion-focused design
This role is KPI-driven, with clear commercial and operational metrics covering conversion, Average Order Value, reliability, support efficiency, and site speed and performance.
What You'll Be Working On
- Three WooCommerce sites
- ERP-led inventory and order flows
- Kadence Pro & Kadence Shop Kit (block-based, Woo-native frontends)
- FunnelKit for checkout optimisation, upsells, and AOV growth
- Product configuration, pre-orders, and promotions
- Automated returns, warranty, and RMA workflows
- Analytics, feeds, automation, and compliance tooling
Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Proven, demonstrable experience with WooCommerce at scale (1,000+ SKUs)
- Strong WordPress fundamentals
- Ability to work confidently across front-end and back-end
- Solid PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
- Experience managing complex plugin stacks and integrations
- Confident enhancing customer journeys and checkout flows
- Comfortable working against KPIs, including enterprise-grade speed and performance
- Highly detail-focused approach to orders, payments, and fulfilment
Desirable Skills & Experience
- ERP or inventory (Cin7 Core ideal)
- Experience with FunnelKit, Kadence, or similar WooCommerce tooling
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with ticketed support, returns, or warranty systems
- Understanding of operational eCommerce beyond front-end build
