Job description
This is a pivotal role on our product team, where innovation meets impact. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, leveraging Python, AWS, and MariaDB to build and evolve one of our organisation's core products.
Your day-to-day will include:

Enhancing and optimising existing Python scripts to deliver better performance and scalability.

Modernising legacy technologies in C++ & PHP into Python, breathing new life into our existing systems.

Driving Agile delivery, contributing to regular sprints and actively participating in ceremonies that keep us aligned and moving forward.

Mentoring and coaching fellow engineers, helping to shape a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
Do you have extensive hands-on experience in Python?
Are you ready to make an impact, modernise critical systems, and help shape the future of our products?, You're not just a coder; you're a problem solver and a collaborator. Your deep, hands-on Python expertise and curiosity for emerging technologies will help set you apart.
Your in-depth and current commercial Python skills alongside your drive to keep up to date with the latest technologies and techniques, will be key to your success in this role.
You thrive in Agile environments, embracing iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
You're a natural mentor, passionate about sharing knowledge and elevating those around you.
Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between technical detail and business needs, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.

This includes: Python software engineering, AWS, Docker, MariaDB, Jira, Azure Devops Git Repositories and Pipelines and Agile.
