Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Applications & Systems Analyst to take the lead in managing and evolving our core business systems across all EMEAA locations based at our i54 site in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will work closely with key business stakeholders to drive the development, implementation, administration, and delivery of major projects and enhancements across our ERP and reporting platforms.

This is a crucial full-time, on-site position where your expertise will directly influence our operational efficiency, system capability, and long-term digital transformation strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the daily support and continuous improvement of EMEAA ERP Systems, including EFACS8, Sage 300, and Sage 200.
  • Manage and engage in Proof of Concept (POC) activities for feasibility studies, software evaluations, and vendor/service provider selection.
  • Contribute to complex end-to-end architecture designs, integration requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Support project planning for both small and large-scale initiatives, tracking progress and escalating any issues impacting delivery.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes, success measures, and strategic direction to proactively shape technology support and system improvements.
  • Participate in the prioritisation of work requests, providing accurate estimates for enhancements and upcoming projects.
  • Provide risk analysis and mitigation options to business stakeholders for all proposed solutions.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in both business and system processes; assist in developing performance metrics.
  • Conduct or lead detailed analysis to define scope and objectives for project tasks, with strong understanding and application of key business concepts.
  • Act as a credible and influential voice in solution definition through clear communication and strong internal consulting skills.
  • Ensure projects are defined, socialised, and governed effectively through established IT governance processes.

Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, * Degree educated in Computer Science or Business Data Processing with at minimum of five years operational experience

  • 5+ years of advanced programming skills with a solid understanding of SQL/Java Script/XML/SSRS/Power BI
  • Experience leading small to large-scale ERP implementations within organisations and across geographies, along with meeting local regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs and translating them into the application and operational requirements.
  • Strong Change management mindset, with proven ability to drive alignment and assess impact and risk.
  • Highly effective levels of communication, both oral and written, with business customers and Information services staff.
  • Experience working with IT-based ticketing and support systems like Service Now and Jira in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.
  • Good analytical thinking and a solution focused mind set as Data Analysis is a key part of this role.
  • A practiced self-starter confident managing projects with conflicting priorities
