We're building a new, high-performing team to elevate LRQA's digital presence across our marketing platforms and corporate websites. As a Front End Developer / Designer, you will play a key role in shaping user experiences, delivering high-quality interfaces, and ensuring our content management workflows run smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take the next step in their development career, a self-starter with strong creative instincts, solid front-end fundamentals, and a desire to grow into a more technical, product-focused position.
You'll work closely with marketers, product owners, and developers to bring digital experiences to life, ensuring they are visually compelling, accessible, performant, and easy to manage.
Front-End Development
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Implement reusable components and design system patterns across our marketing platforms.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with APIs and CMS data models.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
UX/UI Design
- Translate wireframes, brand guidelines, and user insights into polished, intuitive interfaces.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system and component library.
- Support user-centred design practices, including prototyping and iterative refinement.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design.
CMS Management (Optimizely experience nice to have but not essential)
- Build, configure, and maintain pages, components, and content structures within Optimizely CMS.
- Support marketing teams with content updates, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance.
- Work with developers to improve templates, workflows, and editorial experiences.
- (Nice to have) Contribute to Optimizely component development or personalisation experiments., If you are successful in securing a role with us, we will carry out pre-employment checks in accordance with what is allowed under local law.

We may involve the third-party supplier to run the background checks as needed and your data will be retained for a period as needed for the purpose of employing you.

Requirements
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including pre/post-processors), and modern JavaScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) would be advantageous.
- Demonstrable UX/UI design capability - portfolio or examples of work.
- Experience working with design tools (We use Figma, but any similar experience is welcome).
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web performance.
- Experience working with any CMS (Optimizely, Contentful, Sitecore, WordPress, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a desire to grow into a more senior development role.
