• 5+ years of hands-on experience with backend development using Java.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Understanding of software architectural patterns and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands and the EU, including a fixed residential address in the Netherlands and registration with a Dutch municipality (BSN).

• Full-time one-year contract under Dutch law with the intention to convert to a permanent contract upon good performance, including 30% ruling support if applicable.

We are looking for an Experienced Java Developer to strengthen the Shipping Technology team. The platform youll be working on is used by enterprises around the world to manage and optimize their shipping operations. You will have significant influence on the evolution of the system architecture, introduce new tools and practices, and help modernize the platform as part of a growing development team. The Dutch development team consists of 4 engineers who closely collaborate with colleagues in Canada and the US. We work in 2-week sprints with 6-week release cycles and are continuously evaluating which methodologies and tools fit best.
