Software Controls Engineer

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Schematics?, Be fluent in the use of Siemens TIA Portal for PLC, HMI, SCADA and VFD configuration.

• Have good knowledge and ability to design industrial networks and safety control systems.

• Have good project management skills: o Be able to take responsibility of the delivery of projects in a timely manner o Be confident in the selection, sourcing and procurement of hardware.

• Be electrically biased but have a sound knowledge of mechanical aspects i.e., Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Fluid Power.

• Have good fault-finding skills and the willingness and confidence to attend site to support customers with machine breakdowns.

• Be available to travel and work away from the base anywhere within the UK. This is in-frequent.

Desirable:

• Experience with PLCs from other automation vendors such as Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron and legacy systems such as Siemens S5 and Simatic Manager.

• Ability to carry out Machine Risk Assessments and verify control system design using software tools such as SISTEMA.

• Experience with SEE Electrical Design Software.

• Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW software.

The candidate must have a Full UK Driving License and authorised to work in the UK.
