Job description

We're working with a fast growing organisation that's building resilient, scalable, and secure cloud platforms. They're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a key role in designing, automating and operating modern infrastructure and delivery pipelines across complex environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, process driven, improving developer experience, and driving best practices across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and observability.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions or GitLab Runners. You'll work extensively with Git-based version control, implementing effective branching strategies and automation.

Infrastructure will be defined and managed using Terraform, supporting consistent and repeatable deployments. You'll containerise applications using Docker and manage workloads on Kubernetes, with a strong focus on Red Hat OpenShift environments.

You'll also support asynchronous architectures using message queues (RabbitMQ), develop automation and batch processes using PowerShell and Bash and ensure platforms are observable and perform using tools such as Grafana, Datadog etc

Security is a core focus, and you'll work with modern authentication and authorisation standards including OAuth and SAML.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience across modern DevOps tooling and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Commitment to staying up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and ways of working
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Git version control and branching strategies
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), especially Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Server Side Scripting, automation and batch processes (PowerShell and Bash Scripting)
  • Observability (Grafana, DataDog, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or similar tool set)
  • Authentication techniques (OAuth, SAML, etc.)
