As part of our highly motivated, interdisciplinary team, you will take on the role of a software developer and will be responsible for the further development of the cyber range.

You will implement and maintain backend services used for orchestration, configuration and operation of cyber security training environments.

In our cyber range you will integrate realistic cyber security scenarios for trainings and exercises in simulated environments, configure systems and services, and deploy vulnerable components.

You will contribute to novel solutions, which will also be published as open source on GitHub in many cases and used by the security community.

You will work on the technical implementation and integration of components to support research activities and customer projects.

By regularly exchanging ideas with European cooperation partners in the defense sector and security authorities, you will become a recognized expert and thus continue building up your network over the course of multi-year international research projects.
Requirements
- Completed studies (at least bachelor's degree) in the field of Computer Science, Software Development, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in backend development and distributed systems development
- Programming skills in common programming languages, as well as scripting languages
- Knowledge in computing infrastructures, Linux and networking
- Experienced with versioning control systems such as git
- Experience in the DevOps field, and preferably previous experience in virtualized infrastructures and container solutions
- Interest in DevOps technologies, such as Ansible and Terraform
- Broad cyber security knowledge is an advantage, but not mandatory
- Ability to work in a team, high commitment, interest, and willingness to learn new technologies
- Good German and English skills (spoken and written)
Benefits & conditions
The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 59.934,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
