Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Software Engineer to design and implement robust tools and software components for our mission-critical internal test and automation infrastructure.
You will be a key member of an international, cross-functional engineering team, driving technical collaboration with validation, emulation, firmware, and design engineers. Your primary focus will be to engineer reusable, high-performance, and scalable software foundations based on these cross-team requirements.
As our systems rapidly evolve, you will be instrumental in integrating cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning capabilities for advanced log analysis, sophisticated anomaly detection, and intelligent test orchestration within our internal frameworks.
We uphold industry best practices, leveraging ALM tools and modern IDEs to ensure collaboration, maintain stringent code quality standards, and facilitate efficient, well-structured development and debugging workflows., * Design and develop Python frameworks, libraries, and services.
- Design resilient infrastructure for multi-node testing.
- Develop and maintain APIs, configuration systems, and data models supporting automated test workflows.
- Develop and maintain tools for automated log processing, analysis, and anomaly detection using AI/ML techniques.
- Explore opportunities to integrate AI/ML into existing frameworks to improve data interpretation, debugging efficiency, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with and support test engineers to ensure effective framework usage and integration.
- Assist in architecture discussions, create comprehensive documentation, and contribute to long-term system design and roadmap planning.
- Promote code quality, maintainability, and consistency across internal projects.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and modular frameworks.
- Experience with popular open-source Python libraries.
- Understanding hardware communication protocols.
- Experience with standard development tools and Atlassian-based ALM.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant industry experience; junior applicants and new graduates are also welcome.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing internal SDKs, APIs, or CLI tools for engineering teams.
- Knowledge of code generation techniques.
- Background in test automation, hardware control, or embedded system interfaces.
- Familiarity with containerized environments.
- Familiarity with one or more of these technologies: IxC, SPI, PCIe, CXL, DDR4/5, NVMe, SAS/SATA, and NAND flash.
- Familiarity with AI tools for software development and testing.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $86,000 - $186,000.*
