Job description
We're looking for an experienced Magento PHP Developer to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity.
This role suits someone who is genuinely comfortable working across Magento backend, APIs, and Hyvä-based frontends, and who enjoys solving real-world eCommerce problems rather than just shipping features.
You'll be involved across the full development lifecycle - from technical discovery and implementation through to optimisation and support - working closely with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining custom Magento modules and integrations
- Building and extending Hyvä-based frontends using Tailwind and Alpine.js
- Designing, consuming and building integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Optimising Magento stores for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Working with Git-based workflows and collaborating via pull requests
- Contributing to technical decisions and improving internal standards
- Supporting and enhancing existing client platforms
Requirements
Do you have experience in PHP?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Essential experience:
- Strong commercial experience with Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce.
- Proven experience developing with the Hyvä frontend framework.
- High level of competence with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Solid PHP and Magento architectural knowledge.
- Experience building bespoke themes and custom modules.
- Performance optimisation experience (frontend and backend).
- Confident using Git for version control.
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
- Clear written communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Adobe Commerce or Hyvä certification
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Knowledge of GDPR and PCI DSS compliance
- Agency background or experience working across multiple client projects
- Exposure to complex ERP or third-party system integrations, * Bachelor's (preferred), * Magento PHP Developer: 2 years (required)
