Job description
- As a Data Scientist, I will leverage data analytics to drive insights and improve the quality and efficiency of our housing services. My role will involve cleaning and organizing data and working closely with various stakeholders to extract, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. This work will inform decision-making and policy development within the organization.
Requirements
- Data Integration & Analysis: Experience in collecting and analyzing data from internal systems such as tenancy, maintenance, and finance, as well as external sources like census and public datasets.
- Data Preparation: Ability to clean, structure, and validate data to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Predictive Analytics: Proficiency in building models to forecast housing demand, rent arrears, and maintenance needs.
- Visualisation & Reporting: Skills in creating dashboards and reports to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Performance Evaluation: Experience in assessing the impact of housing initiatives and recommending improvements.
- Machine Learning Applications: Familiarity with using machine learning to optimize resource allocation, predict tenant behavior, and automate processes like arrears risk scoring.
- Data Governance: Understanding of how to maintain data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to work with housing officers and managers to translate operational needs into data-driven solutions.
