Are you looking to help protect your local area from pollution and flooding? We have a great opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Network Monitoring team in sewerage.
The team is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and analysis of sewerage assets across our varied region.
What you'll do
Your role will be focused on the proactive monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of issues in the wastewater network. You will need to identify emerging problems from alerts and trend data and propose actions and solutions before they impact customers or the environment.
As an industry leading company, we are committed to continuously improving our performance and moving towards a more efficient data led culture. We are in the process of installing thousands of sewer level monitors across our sewerage network. The data from these monitors will be used to help reduce pollution risks such as blockages and improve our understanding of the network.
Responsibilities include:
- analysing trends to recognise problems in the network (e.g. sewer levels, pump run stops, flow and pressure, digital signals)
- reviewing alerts and analytical/machine learning tools such as StormHarvester
- identifying actions and solutions to developing issues in the network
- helping to develop and hone data analysis processes
- liaising with multiple cross functional teams
- identifying poor quality data.
Weekend cover will be required (typically once per month).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Machine learning?, To be considered for this opportunity, you will have excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, and/or water industry operations experience. A good understanding telemetry systems would also be beneficial.
