Job description

As a Quality Engineer at EDSN, you will contribute to high-quality software that accelerates the energy transition.

With your expertise in testing and test automation, you will directly contribute to the reliability of our software and the sustainability of the Netherlands.

In your role as a Test Engineer, you work within a DevOps team to deliver new features quickly and with high quality. You are involved from the refinement phase and contribute to the test approach, scenarios, and automation. You understand that errors in our systems have a direct impact on the electricity grid, and therefore your work is of great importance. You are strong in test automation and work closely with developers to build test scenarios and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. In addition, you support the team in the area of quality and testing. You actively participate in the test community within EDSN, where Test Engineers from all teams come together to share knowledge, discuss new developments, and continuously improve.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Test automation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, You are results-oriented, proactive, assertive, and possess strong persuasive and communication skills.

You look beyond your own team and connect with other teams when your processes impact a larger chain.

What you'll bring:

You have at least a bachelor's degree level of working and thinking in IT, supplemented with relevant certifications such as TMAP, ISTQB or Agile Tester.

You have extensive testing experience in a complex environment and are familiar with modern agile testing methods.

In the Release Train where you will initially be working, tests are built in the Robot Framework.

An affinity for development is a must. You are therefore not afraid of writing automated tests and want to further develop yourself in this area.

In addition to the Robot Framework, you can also work with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright.

You have hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java and Javascript.

You have experience with Behaviour Driven Development.

You have knowledge of SAFe (preferred).

You have experience coaching team members and can engage and persuade people.

You have experience in the energy sector (preferred).
