Job description

The successful candidate will support the design, development, and improvement of products and components, working closely with manufacturing, production, and senior engineers., * Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks

  • Assist in the design and development of new products and components
  • Produce detailed drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Support prototype development, testing, and design validation
  • Ensure designs meet relevant standards, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
  • Assist with engineering documentation, change requests, and version control
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support senior engineers on ongoing projects as required

Requirements

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is confident using SolidWorks and is keen to develop their design and engineering skills within a practical, fast-paced environment., * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering discipline

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks (academic or industrial experience accepted)
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an engineering environment

DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, or machined components
  • Knowledge of FEA, simulations, or design for manufacture (DFM)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Placement year or internship experience
