Job description
The Remediation Engineer will support the planning and delivery of remediation projects through a combination of site-based activities and office-based work. The role focuses on collecting, analysing and reporting environmental data, as well as auditing activities under the company's Mobile Treatment Permit.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role would suite someone that enjoys working in the field and is willing to work flexibly across departments to support project delivery
JOB CONTENT
Primary Tasks and Duties:
· Operate and maintain field equipment for sampling;
· Ability to log soils and competently record environmental observations in the field;
· Collating technical site based data as directed by the Senior Scientist;
· Liaising with site visitors, including regulators and any other stakeholders as required;
· Procurement of technical based consumables / equipment;
· Participating and contributing to project meetings (internal and external); and
· Supporting the site manager and project manager in the execution of their duties onsite.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card, Construction Skills Certification Scheme certification?, Do you have experience in Microsoft Word?, · Positive attitude!
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· First class communication skills;
· A minimum of 3 years' experience in Remediation activities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
· A full UK driving licence and prepared to travel;
Skills and Abilities:
· The ability to prioritise work in accordance with ever changing demands, and manage multiple projects
· Working knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations
· Techncial understanding of Environmental Site Assessment, Remediation or related fieldwork experience
· Working knowledge of site operations and H&S practices;
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team
· Detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results
Desirable:
· Related academic qualifications.
· Asbestos Awareness; and CSCS Certification.
