Job description
within the UK AE team for the Pumps Division supporting the UK business, producing quotations and converting them into orders.About Your Responsibilities
- Receive written/verbal enquiries, evaluate customers' requirements.
Producing timely & accurate quotations whilst considering margin requirements. * To be able to size & select the correct equipment for the required duty.
- Flexibility to assist, when necessary, with the sizing, selection of pumps for Contractor enquiries.
- Fully support and assist the external sales team and regional offices and representatives within the UK.
- Follow up quotations via telephone and other media in an on-going & timely manner in conjunction with the External Sales team.
- Complete technical clarifications either in person, by telephone or electronically.
- Process the sales order received ensuring all relevant information is detailed as per Guiding Principles.
- Provide engineering and application support to the external sales team and regional offices and representatives within the UK.
- Ensure contracts department has sufficient information to allow them to supply the customer with the required equipment at the time specified.
- Attend & contribute at sales meetings, reporting on business opportunities & areas of responsibility., * Employees are expected to work in the Sywell, Northampton office 2 days a week.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar field with at least two (2) years of related experience within the pump industry with strong technical knowledge.

3-5 years' experience working with Pumps.

1-3 years' Sales experience.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

It is envisaged that the person(s) carrying out this key role will possess and actively demonstrate a blend of highly developed application engineering competences commensurate with the scope of the role, complemented with demonstrable behavioral competencies that are the hallmarks of an effective and respected team supervisor.

The role calls for strong people skills, leadership skills and an ability to clearly focus on the planning & preparation of the activities administered by the engineering teams.

Computer literacy, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with MRP systems, SAP a plus.

Excellent hands-on mechanical engineering aptitude: ability to seamlessly integrate into the industrial machinery manufacturing industry and to contribute effectively to the team.

Fluent in English.
