Job description
This is a permanent Technical Solutions Architect role within a large, complex IT environment undergoing a cloud-first, AI-enabled and hyper-automated transformation. The position offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide architecture, influence senior stakeholders, and design secure, scalable solutions that support critical public-facing services.
Technical Solutions Architect Responsibilities
- Define and deliver a cohesive technical architecture and roadmap aligned to business strategy.
- Act as Technical Design Authority, leading design governance, review, and approval of IT solutions.
- Design secure, resilient, and highly available solutions across cloud, infrastructure, application, and data domains.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs.
- Advise senior IT and business leaders on emerging technologies, including cloud platforms, AI, and hyperautomation.
- Produce architecture models, technical specifications, and solution documentation.
- Drive transition from on-premise and data centre environments to cloud-first digital services.
- Promote reuse of existing technical assets, frameworks, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience as a Technical Solutions Architect or similar senior architecture role.
- Strong experience with outsourced IT services and enterprise-scale infrastructures.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS, IaaS, SaaS, M365).
- Proven track record designing secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical governance skills.
