Job description
As Product Owner, you will guide one of our development teams responsible for two key products: our internal deployment tool, which manages the full deployment lifecycle of many applications across the company, and our native Android application, which connects hardware such as scanners to web applications and renders those applications efficiently. Both products see increasing adoption within our company - meaning your decisions will have a direct, visible impact across SSI Schäfer.
You will work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders throughout the company to shape features, align priorities, and ensure both applications continue to scale in usability, stability, and technical excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog for your development team.
- Gather and translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
- Collaborate closely with other development teams to ensure smooth cross team alignment.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and continuously improve our processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders - from developers and testers to management.
- Conduct research and analysis to support product decisions, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in requirements engineering and/or product ownership.
- Experience in software configuration management, deployment, or operations is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for technology, modern software development, and agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
- Fluent in German and English.
Benefits & conditions
We offer you for this position a monthly minimum gross salary (starting level) of €4.350,00 on a full time basis (38.5 hrs/week). The actual salary is calculated on the basis of previous periods of service, qualification, professional experience and the collective agreement.
