Senior Engineer, Developer Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience in environments shipping production software at scale - you know what good engineering practices look like and you have hands-on experience with Python or Go, as well as experience with developer productivity frameworks (DORA metrics, SPACE)
• Strong analytical skills: Comfortable working with data to derive insights and measure impact across a large engineering organization
• Experience with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) and understanding of how LLMs can be applied to improve developer workflows
• Comfortable with modern cloud-native stacks: Experience working with Cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset: Able to articulate technical concepts clearly and influence engineering practices across teams. You build relationships easily and work effectively across team boundaries

Your mission We're looking for a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to help shape how engineers build, test, and ship software at Bitpanda. You'll work at the intersection of platform engineering, tooling, and developer productivity - making our engineers' lives easier and our development workflows faster. What You'll Do * Champion developer productivity metrics: Build observability around developer experience and use data-driven insights to continuously improve workflows across our 250+ engineer organization * Analyze and optimize: Work with complex datasets across multiple dimensions to identify bottlenecks and measure the impact of improvements * Advocate for engineering excellence: Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment as part of the developer experience charter * Introduce AI-powered enhancements: Implement AI tooling where it delivers clear productivity gains - intelligent testing, onboarding automation, or assisted code reviews * Build internal tools: Create solutions that remove friction from the developer journey
