Your role & influence as PHP Software Engineer
Responsibility: You will be given responsibility for developing and maintaining PHP applications that integrate supplier data, while ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless API connectivity across a modern DevOps environment.
Collaboration: Together with your team, you take care of one of our most important mission-critical systems, ensuring stability and innovation. You'll work closely not only with your immediate team members but also with departments such as Infrastructure and Product Management to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions.
Core activities:
- Analyse stakeholder requests and translate them into robust supplier integration solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based and containerized PHP applications with RESTful APIs
- Implement comprehensive testing (unit, integration, functional) and optimise code for performance and reliability
Requirements
- You have a bachelor's degree level of working and thinking
- Experience with supplier data integration and cloud-based or containerized software solutions, * 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development
- Strong knowledge of unit testing with PHPUnit and integration/functional testing
- Experience with popular frameworks such as Symfony or Yii
- Understanding of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration
- Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and CDK with TypeScript
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Docker or containerization
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API authentication methods (OAuth, JWT)
- Good knowledge of Git for version control
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate (or equivalent)
