Job description

Are you a WordPress developer who enjoys ownership, creativity, and seeing your work make a real impact?

We're a growing digital platform business building learning and compliance systems used by organisations across the UK. This is an opportunity to step into a key technical role where your ideas matter, your work is visible, and you help shape the future of a product that genuinely helps people learn and develop.

You'll work closely with the Founder, take responsibility for our platforms, and have the chance to grow with the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being part of a small team where they can truly make a difference.

What you'll do

  • Manage and develop our WordPress platforms
  • Build and extend custom themes and plugins
  • Debug, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Work with APIs and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations
  • Use Git for version control and code management
  • Support clients with technical queries and improvements
  • Collaborate on new features, improvements and product ideas

Requirements

  • Strong WordPress development experience
  • Confident with PHP, HTML and CSS
  • Comfortable troubleshooting and working with existing/legacy code
  • Experience with APIs or integrations
  • Knowledge of Git for version control
  • Confident communicating directly with clients
  • Organised, proactive and self-motivated

Nice to have

  • Experience with LearnDash or other LMS platforms
  • UX/UI or design skills
  • Email automation experience (e.g., Brevo, SendGrid)
