Job description

- DevOps, We are supporting a major UK Government department looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in either London or Manchester (Hybrid). This role is an initial 6-month contract with a competitive rate of £700-£725 per day (Inside IR35). We are looking for someone who is hands-on and delivery-focused, ideally with active SC clearance or eligible for it. Join us to help shape and operate cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong AWS background across modern cloud services (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub, AWS tooling)
- Familiarity with containerised environments with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
- Solid understanding of networking and cloud security fundamentals
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams
- Desirable: Exposure to Azure
- Desirable: Knowledge of directory services (AD / LDAP)
- Desirable: AWS or Kubernetes certifications
