Job description

·Support design and analysis of subsea technology

·Apply academic knowledge to component selection

·Assist with drawings, calculations, and technical documentation

·Support production and quality processes

·Learn to investigate field issues and propose solutions

·Participate in client technical discussions under supervision

  • Provide technical support to production teams during manufacturing to ensure quality and conformity to design.

Requirements

As a graduate or post graduate design engineer preferable with an electromechanical background looking for a first post or some experience an opportunity has arisen to join a an established and rapidly growing global leader in subsea technology and manufacturing, serving areas in the seismic industry, defence, offshore energy and subsea (high pressure) technology industries. With in-house design and manufacturing expertise, the company provides innovative solutions for extreme environments worldwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for an postgraduate or graduate Design Engineer with a strong interest in manufacturing, looking to develop a long-term career within a well-established and reputable production environment, and gain hands-on experience under supervision and contribute to the development of high-spec products for extreme environments., ·Relevant degree (MEng, BEng, BSc) or postgraduate (MSc, MRes, PhD)in engineering, physics, or mathematics, or similar

·CAD skills - 2D CAD or 3DCAD / and /or solidworks

·Understanding of electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical principles

·Interest in subsea technology, including seismic energy, renewable, energy and marine/diving applications in high-pressure environments.

·Knowledge or interest in electrical theory (voltage stress, resistance, voltage drop, current rating, and heating effects), hydraulics/pneumatics (pressure drop, fluid mechanics), and mechanical engineering (materials, stress/strain, fatigue).

·Exposure to 2D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD); proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) advantageous.
