Job description
As a Data Engineer, youll help design and deliver robust, high-performance data pipelines and data platforms across a diverse set of sources and systems. Youll work closely with engineers, analysts, product and delivery teams to turn complex data into trusted, usable assets for the business.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership: from ingestion and transformation, through to modelling, performance, reliability and quality.

What Youll Be Doing
- Designing, building and maintaining scalable data platforms, cloud-native workflows and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Transforming and modelling data to support analytics, reporting and operational use cases
- Improving data quality, performance and reliability across the platform
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving pipeline and data issues (including on-call when needed)
- Prototyping analytical tools, automation and solutions for complex business problems
- Collaborating with BI, Finance and wider engineering teams to deliver high-impact data solutions
- Creating clear technical documentation and contributing to engineering best practices
- Working in an agile, product-focused delivery environment with a strong culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science (or similar technical discipline), or equivalent practical experience
- 24 years experience working with SQL (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar)
- 24 years experience with Java or Groovy
- Experience with orchestration and ingestion tools (e.g. Airflow, Airbyte or similar)
- Experience working with APIs (REST / SOAP)
- Exposure to cloud data warehouses and ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, dbt) is a plus
