Job description
New bury College is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and delivery of high-quality reporting manager and dashboards that empower decision-making across the institution.
This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly influence the College's ability to deliver outstanding education and services.
As our Business Intelligence Developer, you will:

Lead on the development of dashboards, KPI reporting, and data solutions that support strategic decisions.

Design and produce reports using Power BI, SSRS, and SQL, combining data from multiple sources.

Collaborate with staff across the College to understand their needs and remove barriers to accessing data.

Provide training, documentation, and support to ensure reports are clear, accurate, and user-friendly.

Analyse data sets and guide colleagues in interpreting results.

Contribute to upgrades of College MIS systems and proactively suggest improvements to processes and data quality.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of databases and data warehouses, with advanced SQL skills.
- Experience developing reporting solutions using Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and SharePoint.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding workload.
- A values-driven approach, with attention to detail and a desire to continuously develop yourself.
Essential qualifications:

GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).

Higher National qualification or equivalent experience in the Further Education sector.
